The mission of Project Vida is to identify the comprehensive vision of the community for its future and to develop community-based structures and programs to implement that vision in light of the needs and direction of the wider society.
Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program
The Teen Pregnancy Prevention program was created with the intention of improving the overall health of adolescents and reducing teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in the El Paso County area, primarily in the Socorro Independent School District (SISD), as well as in neighboring ISDs, including, Canutillo ISD, San Elizario ISD, and Clint ISD. The intention is to demonstrate the need for increased evidence-based programs, particularly serving high-risk groups and communities.
Be you program
Be You is an evidence-based teen pregnancy prevention program that focuses on addressing the barriers that hinder El Paso County adolescents from obtaining optimal health.
Micro Enterprise
Micro and small businesses play a vital role in the economic and social fabric of any community. These businesses provide jobs, goods, and services, and generate tax revenue that supports local services and programs. Small business owners, not only play a fundamental role in our society, but they are also trying to provide for their families. In the next video, we will present 3 stories of families that are going trough this journey, and how we have helped them thrive and grow.
